Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We try to keep this short and human.

What we collect

Account: email, display name, avatar, date of birth (for 18+ verification), country.
Activity: groups you join, markets you create or bet on, comments, wallet transactions.
Payments: Stripe handles card details — we never see or store them. We keep a record of completed top-ups and Pro subscriptions.
Device: push notification tokens (only if you opt in), basic diagnostics if something crashes.

How we use it

To run the service: authenticate you, show your groups and markets, settle wagers, send notifications you opted into.
To prevent abuse: rate-limiting, fraud detection on top-ups, age verification.
To improve Wagers: aggregated, non-identifying analytics.

We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Who we share it with

Service providers we need to operate: hosting (Cloudflare), database/auth (Supabase), payments (Stripe), push delivery. They only see what they need and are bound by their own data agreements. We may also share data if legally required.

Your controls

Edit your profile any time in Settings.
Toggle notifications per type in Settings.
Delete your account from Settings → Danger zone. This removes your profile, predictions, and wallet history.
Export your data: email hello@wager.app and we'll send you a copy.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to retain (e.g., financial records of cash transactions).

Children

Wagers is for users 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we make material changes we'll notify you in-app before they take effect.
